Alfred, N.Y. Green Party members, politicians and supporters had forums scheduled throughout Green Fest in Alfred for the weekend to discuss all Green topics such as hydrofracking, Green non-violent foreign policy and political and corporate rule.
At a forum titled "Third Parties as Real Change" with Anthony Gronowicz, the history of third parties as catalysts for change within the American political system was discussed, but when the questions about future politics started to arise, there was no uniform voice for what changes the Green Party would make to American politics.
Most in the audience seemed to agree when Gronowicz said "the current two-party system basically is the transfer of power, peacefully, from one fragment of the ruling class to the other fragment."
