New York Green Fest 2009, Aug. 7-9, Alfred, NY. Forum on Sustainable Energy, Part 1: Musical welcoming by the Lucky Pluckers and introduction to the solar stage.

Meg Krywe and Tom Persichilli comprise the Lucky Pluckers fol/rock/old-timey music band. Meg has worked with a number of citizen groups to keep nuclear waste out of Allegheny County and has spent years supporting efforts of groups in Allegheny, Livingston, Yates, Ontario, and Stuben counties.

Tom builds musical instruments, including the acoustic instruments used in this performance. Most of his work is done with antique hand tools in his shop in Arkport, NY. He also specializes in life-like sculpture and fine woodworking.

Crow Weaver designer of the solar-powered stage and and founder of the Native Earthling Band, gives an explanation of the photovoltaic system and solar powered audio equipment. He was assisted by his partner Joey Gates.
