People's State of the State

On Tuesday Jan. 7 is the 24th annual People's State of the State rally at 11:45 AM at the State Capitol (State St. entrance)

Addressing income inequality will be the focus for 2014. Related issues include raising the state minimum wage, wage theft, progressive taxes, living wage jobs,  increasing funding for emergency food, education, welfare rights, single payer health care, and the Dream Act..

The People's State of the State event is held the day before the Governor's official address to provide a realistic picture of how the state is faring on hunger, homelessness, income equality, and employment. For more info see
