GPNY Running for Local Office Webinar Series: Part 2 | Fundraising & Launching a Competitive Campaign

Your county, your city, your town—your village, they all have the power to fundamentally improve what everyday life looks like. But too often, that power goes unused. Our councils, our mayors, our school boards have the same parties dominant forever, and the same approach. Municipalities defer to managers and lawyers hired on connections, not brilliance. Local boards become appointed friends, not subject matter experts. And the unambitious governments chug slowly along, counting on your disinterest.

That changes, and changes fast, when you step up and run.

That is why the Green Party of New York has launched this three-part introduction to running for local office. It can be hard. (Occasionally, maddeningly so.) But your voice is needed, and we are ready to help. Join us for three part series on Tuesdays in April 7th, 14th and 21st at 7pm EST as we unpack the basics. General topic schedule below and further details below. All sessions are 7-8:30pm EST via zoom, and this one time registration allows you to attend 1, 2 or all 3 sessions!
