Forum for the Future of GPNY

Dear Enrolled Green Party Members,

The GPNY Executive Committee invites you to participate in a state-wide
virtual discussion about the future and direction of our state party on
Thursday, August 4, at 8 pm, on Zoom. This meeting is for registered
Greens only.

Many of you know that the Hawkins-Mattera Gubernatorial slate petitions
were challenged by two Jay Jacobs Democratic committee hacks from Nassau
County and the result was the Commissioners at the NYS Board of
Elections ruled our petitions invalid and therefore not eligible to be
on the ballot in November. GPNY, in a joint lawsuit with the NY
Libertarian Party, is still pursuing legal relief, but for the present,
the Green Party of New York is no longer a ballot status party.

We strongly believe that the Green Party message and platform are
resonating with voters and are needed more than ever to address the
climate crisis, income inequality, health disparities, lack of housing,
and systemic racism plaguing our state and the nation.

With the restoration of the Green Party ballot status uncertain but the
need for candidates and issue campaigns that prioritize people and
planet over profit, we are organizing opportunities for Greens around
the state to share ideas and propose initiatives to build strong,
vibrant local and county Green Party formations that will in turn result
in a more robust state-wide organization.

Please fill out the RSVP form and share with other enrolled Greens.
