Job Overview:

GPNY is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Petition Circulator. As a Petition Circulator, you will play a crucial role in gathering signatures to place Green Party candidates on the ballot. This is a temporary job lasting five weeks, from April 16 to May 21 of this year. We are hiring for both full time and part time. Hours can be flexible as long as you are able to collect signatures. Pay is $25/hour. You can collect signatures from registered voters anywhere in New York State.

This position does not offer a remote work option as it requires directly witnessing and collecting signatures of registered voters in New York. New York State based applicants preferred. Others are welcome to apply but there is no allowance for relocation available.

Duties:

Your job will consist of approaching people in public places to ask for their signature on a petition. Training will be provided, and no prior canvassing experience is necessary. Attention to detail is important.

Skills:

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse individuals
- Bilingual proficiency (desired) to effectively communicate with individuals from different language backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Please note that if you live in New York State you must be registered to vote. If you do not live in New York State, you must be at least 18 and eligible to vote if you did live here.
