Your Right To Vote Green Is Under Attack!

Governor Cuomo's cronies on the Public Campaign Finance Commission are trying to destroy the Green Party in New York by changing our state's ballot access requirements to be among the worst in the nation.

Call your representatives in the state Assembly and Senate today and tell them they must convene a special legislative session to vote down any proposal from the Commission that undermines a New York voter's choice of political party.

1. Look Up The Contact Information For Your Representatives In The NY State Assembly and Senate

2. Call Your Representatives

Tell Them: "My name is ________ and I am a constituent of Assembly Member/Senator ___________. I want more political choice in New York State, not less. It looks like the Public Campaign Financing Commission is on track to deliver a proposal that will make New York's ballot access laws for grassroots parties like the Green Party among the worst in the nation, and their public financing plan is weak and unworkable. If that happens, I am counting on you to demand that Speaker Heastie/Leader Stewart Cousins convene in Albany in December to repair, and if necessary replace, the Commission’s bill by Dec. 20th. NY voters want and deserve real campaign finance reform and diverse political parties that reflect their perspectives."

3. Email the Commission

Click here to email the Commission and tell them Cuomo's scheme will fail!

Dear Commissioners,

"My name is ________ and I writing to tell you I just got done calling my representatives in the state legislature to tell them I want more political choice in New York State, not less. Your reported proposal will make New York's ballot access laws for grassroots parties like the Green Party among the worst in the nation, and your public financing plan is weak and unworkable. If that is what your committee submits this week, I will continue organizing for Speaker Heastie and Leader Stewart Cousins to convene the legislature in Albany in December to repair, and if necessary replace, your proposal. NY voters want and deserve real campaign finance reform and diverse political parties that reflect their perspectives."
