The Occupy Movement has catapulted economic inequality into the public debate. The politicians of both major parties have to admit these disparities, but are incapable of providing solutions.



Join Greens and special invited guests as we:

  • 2pm - Demystify the State and City Fiscal Crisis. Cuts to schools and public services are unnecesary. How we can revitalize the public sector with progressive tax reforms.

  •  3pm Learn about the economic benefits of Single-Payer healthcare for all New Yorkers, as well as the political openings and challenges to Universal Healthcare. How can we fight for Healthcare as human right after the Affordable Care Act?

  • 4pm Meet Mary Jo Long, Green elected town board member in Afton, NY and hydrofracking activist leading the fight on local fracking bans. Mary Jo Long will share her experience of running a successful, independent campaign for office and about how fracktivists are using electoral campaigns to advocate for local and statewide bans.
