Public Forum Called to Address the Crisis in Gaza: Green Party Members Challenge the Consensus on the Conflict

Israel's three-week attack on Gaza, during December 2008 and January 2009, left over 1,300 Palestinians and 13 Israelis dead, and thousands of Gazans wounded. The bombardment demolished much of the infrastructure in Gaza, with schools, hospitals and mosques destroyed. Many people became, and still are, homeless. The population - already scrambling for the necessities of life because of the ongoing blockade by Israel - is now even more desperate for food, water and electricity.
